2005, before the last election to the german Bundestag, Roland wrote an eBook with the titel "Sucht einen neuen Job für Gerd!" (look for a new job for Gerd), which still can be read on the server of the Deutsche Nationalbibliothek. Please click on this link. In this eBook Roland explaines why he was of the opinion that the former chancellor Gerhard Schroeder should not be reelected..
In 2002 Roland started writing for the libertarian journal EigentümlichFrei. He wrote various book reviews and other articles.
![]() | In 2002 Roland wrote an article about left extremists using the internet. It was published in the “Handbuch des Linksextremismus” (handbook of left extremism) published by Hans-Helmuth Knütter and Stefan Winckler. This book is an anthology of essays about various topics concerning left-extremism in Germany and Austria. The terminology of “left” or ”right” in politics was originally based on the seating-arrangement of parliamentary partisans during the French Revolution. The more ardent proponents of radical revolutionary measures (including democracy and republicanism) were commonly referred to as leftists because they sat on the left side of successive legislative assemblies. |
As this original reference became obsolete, the meaning of the terms has changed as appropriate to the spectrum of ideas and stances being compared.
Left extremism is next to neo-nazism one of the problems every democracy has to fight. The title of Roland’s article was "Links im Netz: Die extreme Linke und das Internet" (left extremists and the internet). It was about how left extremists use the internet.
| In 2000 Roland wrote an article which has been published in a book titled “Der Verfassungsschutz - auf der Suche nach dem verlorenen Feind” (the secret service - the search for the lost enemy). The book was published by Hans-Helmuth Knütter and Stefan Winckler. The book is about the “Bundesamt für Verfassungsschutz” (Federal Office for the Protection of the Constitution) in Germany. Germany has a special secret service only to protect the country from political and religious extremists. It was needed in the times of the cold war to make sure that communists or left-over nazis could not come to power in the free part of Germany. | ![]() |
The book is an anthology from various authors. Roland wrote an article which deals with the legal foundations of the secret service (Bundesverfassungsschutz) in Germany.
